No investment, tax, or legal advice
The content of this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes personalized investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, an offer or solicitation of an offer to buy or sell any security, or an offer of advisory services in any jurisdiction where such an offer would be unlawful.
Baldwin Financial, LLC does not practice law and does not prepare legal documents. Estate planning services described on this site consist of planning, analysis, and coordination performed alongside your own licensed attorney, who is responsible for drafting and executing legal instruments.
Baldwin Financial, LLC does not prepare tax returns. Tax planning services described on this site consist of forward-looking analysis and coordination performed alongside your own certified public accountant or tax preparer, who remains responsible for your filings.
Our planning approach is not a guarantee
Descriptions on this site of anticipatory or proactive planning, including reviewing tax opportunities before year-end, planning distributions in advance, revisiting estate coordination after life events, or examining plan and policy decisions before renewal dates, describe how the firm approaches its work. They are not a guarantee that every opportunity, deadline, risk, or issue will be identified, nor a promise of any particular result.
Advisory services begin only after a written advisory agreement has been executed. An introductory conversation, a message sent through this website, or a scheduled meeting does not by itself establish an advisory relationship.
Roles and responsibilities
Baldwin Financial, LLC is founder-led, and clients work directly with their adviser. This does not mean that any one individual personally performs every administrative, custodial, legal, tax, insurance, or technical function associated with a client relationship. Custody is maintained by an unaffiliated qualified custodian; legal drafting is performed by your attorney; tax preparation is performed by your tax professional; and certain administrative and technology functions are supported by unaffiliated service providers.
Conflicts of interest we want you to know about
Jeremy D. Baldwin separately owns The Baldwin Insurance Firm, LLC, an independent insurance agency. Through that separate business he may provide insurance and benefits brokerage services and may receive customary commissions or other insurance-related compensation when acting in that non-advisory capacity. This is a conflict of interest, because there is a financial incentive attached to an insurance recommendation that does not exist for advisory advice.
We address it three ways. We tell you which capacity we are acting in at the time. No advisory client is ever required to buy insurance through that business. And you are always free to use any provider you choose. This conflict is disclosed in full at Item 10 of our Form ADV Part 2A.
Our primary custodian is Altruist Financial, LLC, an unaffiliated qualified custodian and member FINRA/SIPC. Depending on the account type and what is held in it, client assets may be maintained at other qualified custodians. Every custodian the firm works with is named at Item 12 of our Form ADV Part 2A.
Our recommended custodians make institutional trading, custody, research and reporting services available to us at no charge. That benefits the firm, because we do not have to buy those services ourselves, and it is therefore a potential conflict in how we recommend a custodian. We believe our recommendations are in clients' interests on the merits of scope, quality and price, and Item 12 of our Form ADV Part 2A sets this out in detail.
Disciplinary history
Baldwin Financial, LLC and Jeremy D. Baldwin have regulatory matters that are disclosed in full at Item 9 of our Form ADV Part 2A, and on the public record at adviserinfo.sec.gov under CRD #324725 and on FINRA BrokerCheck. We would rather you read them there, in full and in context, than take a summary from us. A copy of the brochure is provided at no charge on request.

Any projections, forecasts, or hypothetical illustrations discussed with clients rest on assumptions that may not prove accurate and are provided for planning purposes only. Actual results will differ.
